Venue?

Since we are getting married in Houston, it wasn't too difficult to find what we were looking for. Thanks to the Internet, we already narrowed things down and have a venue in mind. Since the ceremony is going to last about two seconds (you're welcome), we wanted a place that included an area for both the ceremony and reception. We found a great place in the River Oaks area, but without the River Oaks price! We won't get to actually see the venue until Thanksgiving weekend, so cross your fingers that it isn't a total bust.

We have a song!

There are so many songs that Aaron and I thought we would use for our first dance, and of course, we won't be using any of them. Instead, we opted to use a song that incorporated the location of the proposal - The Eiffel Tower Restaurant in Las Vegas. And you know what? We didn't even have to search very long before finding "the one!" It's very French and feels very perfect. Such a sigh of relief to finally be able to scratch one thing off our list.

Our next hurdle is to actually set a date. We're thinking it'll be in December of 2013. Since Aaron will still be in graduate school, we have to make sure we have enough time for the wedding plus the honeymoon. The honeymoon will most likely be in Norway. What better place to celebrate our marriage and ring in the New Year's!
